What is your title and what is it that you do here at Second Ave. Sports?
Ron:
I am the general manager of Second Ave. Sports. My main objective is to manage our awesome sales team. I also help wax skis and do little things like that to help the mechanics and technicians.
Shane:
What are the brands that you carry at your store?
Ron:
For bikes we have. Santa Cruz, Pivot Cycles, Strider, Kona, Yeti, Linus, Scott, Trek, and Electra. We also carry Fox suspension, Jett , Castelli, Pearl Izumi, Fox Racing Gear, Troy Lee Designs, Bell, Giro Dakine, and Sugoi.
In the ski shop we carry Atomic, Armada, Alpina, Blizzard, G3, Full Tilt, Line, Madshus, Marker, Technica, 22 Designs, Arbor, Flux and Salomon.
Me:
What services does the shop do?
Ron:
In the summer our mechanics work on bikes. There are up to 100 bikes in the back of the store waiting to get serviced at any point. These vary in minor washes to major tunes. For skis we will wax them,, sharpen edges, and make binding adjustments. We also rent both skis and bikes.
Shane:
Why do you feel 2nd Avenue Sports has been so successful?
Ron:
2nd Avenue Sports has been so successful because of the atmosphere the customers experience when they walk in. Our sales team is extremely friendly and experienced when it comes to dealing with customers of all ages, sizes, and abilities. Also, the amount of product on the floor is a huge reason why people come to the store so regularly.

Link Internship at Second Ave. Sports
Second Ave sports is a bike shop that I've had a good relationship with for several years. My goal is too learn about bike shop management, and how to be a bike mechanic. This will benefit me because I will further my knowledge in my field of interest which is the bike industry. I plan on putting together a promotional advertisement poster for second Ave. and hopefully a video. Thus far, I have found no real challenges in my link since it hasn't started yet. T reach my internship goals I am going to need some support from my buddy lane in order to make a promotional video. My project I will be creating will be relevant to my dream job. My dream job is too ride bikes and be filmed in order to promote a certain brand. The work I will be doing is realistic because I'll probably end up working in a bike shop which is really cool. Doing this project will hopefully increase my ability to utilize various propaganda tools to hopefully get people to use Second Ave. as their primary bike and ski destination.
